Hi there! I'm Erika. I was born and raised in Indiana. After I completed my degree in social work at Purdue University I moved west. I ended up in the beautiful PNW in 2007. While working as a social worker and attending school to become a veterinary technician, I had an opportunity to work for and help manage a dog playgroup service. I took the chance and discovered that working with dogs was my passion. I fell in love with the fun, joy, love, and even the challenges that came from spending my days with them. I started Paws in Motion in 2010 to continue my dream. Being with dogs day in and day out has given me so much insight. I’ve become so in tune with them that at times I feel part dog! They continue to teach me every day. It’s so rewarding to have long term relationships with the dogs and their wonderful families. When I’m not working you can find me hiking with my own pups, reading, baking, or hanging out with my husband. Mark and I have one pup of our own and we foster for Forgotten Dogs Rescue. On the job or not, dogs are truly my favorite thing.
